Conduit

A conduit is a pipe or tube joining two enclosures together for enclosing wires or cable.

Open the Conduit Dialog Box

  1. From the Bentley OpenComms menu, select File > OpenComms Settings > Facilities > Conduit:

  2. The Conduit Editor dialog box opens.

Edit a Conduit

  1. Select one of the conduits from the Conduit List. Highlighting the conduit loads the information into the window.

  2. Edit any of the information fields in the dialog box.
  3. Click Update to save the information in the database.

Create a Conduit

  1. Key in the conduit ID.
  2. From the Shape pull-down menu, select which shape to use to display the conduit (Circle, Square, Hexagon, or Octagon).
  3. Enter the inside and outside conduit diameter that is used to correctly display the conduit size.
  4. Enter Manufacturer, Part Number, Material, and Cost (Optional).
  5. Click Add to save the information in the database. The newly created conduit adds to the Conduit List.

Delete a Conduit

Highlight the conduit in the Conduit List and click Delete. The conduit removes from the database.

Note: A conduit already used in the network cannot be deleted.
